Abstract

Background: Hospital readiness in dealing with the new COVID-19 disaster still requires evaluation and improvement. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of hospital readiness in treating covid-19 on covid-19 incidents in the hospital. Methods: An observational analytic cross-sectional in 178 respondent recruitment using total sampling. Data was collected using a questionnaire that had been tested beforehand and was declared valid (0.389-0.895) and reliable (0.774-0.909). The data analysis carried out in this study was using multiple regressions. Results: The study shows the coefficient of determination of model 1 is 0.397 and model 2 is 0.599. All variables simultaneously have an effect on patients with suspected and confirmed COVID-19, with the t count value of all variables less than t table (-2.017) with a sig value. less than 0.05. This shows that Space, Staff, Stuff and system have an effect on the handling of COVID-19 on the number of suspected. The same results were also shown in the number of confirmed COVID-19 patients. Conclusion: The effect of hospital readiness in treating covid-19 on covid-19 incidents in the hospital is influenced by space, staff, stuff and system.
